Make your next corporate gathering, business or club meeting, holiday party, wedding, or other special event unique and fun by hosting it at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum.

You can host your event in the Performance Theater, Atrium, or Learning Center, and you can even give your guests the opportunity to experience the entire museum including the permanent and special exhibits. There is a kitchen available on-site for your catering team, and The Museum Store can also be open during your event. There are multiple options for setting up tables, seating, and cocktail hightops for your guests within the downstairs spaces. Full Museum Rental

Full museum rental include space in the Performance Theater, Atrium, and the Learning Center, along with allowing guests to explore the museum’s permanent and special exhibits.  These are only available outside of the Museum’s operating hours.

Learning Center Rental

The Learning Center at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum is the perfect location for corporate luncheons, club meetings, workshops, and private parties like weddings and baby showers for around 50 people seated at tables. Learning Center events also have access to the museum Atrium when booked outside of open hours. 

Performance Theater Rental

Our intimate, 100-seat Performance Theater is the “acoustically perfect” location for performances, but also has the capability to host film screenings, presentations, corporate conferences, and more. Fully equipped with stage lighting, sound board, amplification system, and a projector and screen, our staff can even advise on musical entertainment for your event.

Is free parking available to my guests?

A

Yes. There is a free city lot across the street from the museum and two-hour free parking on the streets around the museum.

What is your cancellation policy?

A

We require at least 48 hours notice. The rental deposit is non-refundable.

May I rent the entire museum, or just one room?

A

We do offer the options of renting the entire museum or just one area within the building. We can advise on what works best for your event.

May I host my wedding there?

A

Yes. We have hosted weddings and would love to be part of your special day.

What does it cost to host an event at the museum?

A

There is a sliding fee structure for museum rentals based on the areas used, the length of the event, and other details. Contact us to further discuss the different options.

Can I offer catering at my event?

A

Yes! We have a full kitchen on the ground floor of the museum with a gourmet stove, microwave, warmers, an ice machine, dishwasher, and other items to help make the caterer’s job easier. Please note that we do not allow food and drink to be taken into our exhibit spaces.

Can your staff assist in helping find a caterer?

A

Yes! We work with a number of local event caterers and restaurants. We are glad to facilitate that process depending on the type of food you wish to serve.

Can I cater my own event?

A

Yes!

Can your staff help find musical entertainment for my event?

A

Of course! Music is what we do! However, you will need to budget for musical entertainment. The cost is not included in museum rental fees.

May I have alcohol at my event?

A

A: Yes, but you will need to apply for an ABC banquet license with the state of Virginia at least two weeks prior to the event. License must be on premises during the event.

Is clean-up included in the rental fee?

A

Yes. General clean-up is included, but not catering clean-up.

How many people can I host at my event?

A

That depends on whether you are renting the whole museum or just one area. Contact us for more information.

Can I hold my event while the museum is open?

A

The Learning Center and the Performance Theater are available for rental during museum hours. However, full museum rentals must be held when the museum is closed to the public.
