Our volunteer program prides itself on making the most of our volunteers’ time, knowledge, and interests.

Volunteer Details

Volunteers are needed to assist in the galleries on a daily basis, help in archives and collections, provide curatorial research assistance, support special events, assist in the Museum Store, and act as docents for guided tours.

Volunteer Training

We will be holding three volunteer training sessions in 2018:

  • Tuesday, February 27, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 2, 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 9, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m

Training provides a detailed introduction to the museum and the volunteer program, including a chance for you to pinpoint your area of interest at the museum and learn more about the ins-and-outs of being a museum volunteer.

As a volunteer, you will also have many opportunities for continuing learning and training at the museum throughout the year. Most of all, you will have fun as part of the volunteer team!

For more information on becoming a museum volunteer, contact the museum at 423-573-1927.
