BLUEGRASS JAM CAMP

Jam camp is designed to give you knowledge, clues and practical experience playing by ear with others. Gilbert Nelson shows you the way along with his expert professional teaching and coaching staff. Most of all he makes it fun!

Jam camp is taught according to the Wernick Method.

Our “One Room Schoolhouse” is perfect for entry level and advanced pickers alike. Intro groups are slow tempo, easy chords and gentle encouraging instruction. Intermediate and advanced tracks explore exciting insights including improvisation, stage craft and lots more!

Guided Jams

Do you bring your instrument to a festival but feel shy about taking it out and actually playing with other people? You are not alone, even if it sometimes feels that way!

Gilbert Nelson will be with us helping closet pickers start jamming, playing real bluegrass at slow speeds, and learning the ear skills and ensemble skills that are hard to pick up on your own. All according to the Wernick Method.

Bristol Rhythm 10K Run-5K Run/Walk

The Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion Road Race is a 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk that takes place during the Festival in Historic Downtown Bristol.

Beginning at the intersection of Anderson Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, the race will feature a new course this year. This event is overseen by the professional race management team at We Run Events.

Children’s Day

Children’s Day at Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion is a free event, open to the community, and organized by staff at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. Bursting with fun games, crafts, and performances, Children’s Day is designed to be an event the whole family can participate in together.

A staple at Bristol Rhythm, Children’s Day is made possible by dozens of volunteers and community nonprofits, organizations and businesses who provide a vast array of fun and creative activities for everyone to enjoy. An effort is made by everyone on the planning team to make learning at Children’s Day fun, with families working side-by-side creating art, dancing, and making memories to last a lifetime.

Yoga Rocks Cumberland Square Park

Join Bristol Yoga for yoga in the park. Bring a mat, your zen, and we’ll do the rest. It’s a beautiful way to start your day!
