About Ed Snodderly

Ed Snodderly is a well-respected musician, writer, actor and owner of one of the country’s most esteemed music venues, The Down Home in Johnson City, TN. Ed uses images from the old and odd Appalachian world and combines them with his own musical backbone to create inspired, original, and beautiful songs. Lyrics from his song “The Diamond Stream” are permanently displayed in the Hall of Honor at the Country Music Hall of Fame. He also appeared in the motion picture O Brother, Where Art Thou and is currently a faculty member at East Tennessee State University, teaching songwriting with the college’s Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Country Music program.
