Recorded live before a studio audience in the “acoustically perfect” Performance Theater at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Historic Downtown Bristol, Virginia-Tennessee, Farm and Fun Time brings a high-energy, fun-filled performance that puts a modern spin on classic live radio, featuring contemporary roots music artists & segments that celebrate Appalachian Culture. Host Kris Truelsen and house band Bill and the Belles tie it all together for an entertaining experience you won’t soon forget!

Farm and Fun Time Season 1, Episode 1 (April 4, 2020)

This week’s show features the laid-back, down home sounds of the Barefoot Movement and the Texas-style fiddling and three part harmonies of The Quebe Sisters. Heirloom Recipe presenter Bailey George reveals the truth about Potted Meat, and we visit Ridge and Valley Farm to learn more about sustainable beef farming.

Farm and Fun Time Season 1, Episode 2 (April 11, 2020)

This week’s show features the out of this world bluegrass of The Matchsellers, sweet and soulful duets with Chatham Rabbits, and the award winning Becky Buller Band. We also visit TNT Farm & Greenhouse to learn about how farmers prepare for spring planting using Greenhouses.

Heirloom recipe presenter Charles Parker fondly recalls his grandmother’s creamed corn, and we learn about the sustainability of hemp production with Greene Hemp Company.

Rene Rodgers discusses a special piece of Farm and Fun Time History, and we visit Erwin National Fish Hatchery to learn more about raising fish to stock the waterways of Appalachia and beyond.

Farm and Fun Time Season 1, Episode 13 (July 4, 2020) 

This week’s show features the rockin’ sounds of Miss Tess and a bluegrass set from the King of Americana, Jim Lauderdale! We also learn about rehabilitating neglected farm animals at Tilted Tavern Animal Sanctuary.
