| Bristol, VA-TN (March 13, 2003) The Birthplace of Country Music Alliance celebrated their 4th Anniversary of their museum and gift shop at the Bristol Mall . Grand Ole Opry Star Jesse McReynolds performed at the event which was broadcast live on AM640 WGOC from the BCMA Pickin’ Porch. This was Jesse’s first performance in his hometown region since the death of his brother Jim McReynolds this past December. Jesse’s grandson Luke McKnight will accompany him on stage with the Virginia Boys. Trey Hensley, a twelve year-old flat-picking guitarist and singer from Limestone, TN, also performed. Trey was recently guest to Marty Stewart and Earl Scruggs on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. The VW Boys hosted the event. The event is sponsored by S.B.L.I. Life Insurance. |
