"Man of Constant Sorrow" to Tour


Barter Theatre [1], the State Theatre of Virginia, will tour the play, the “Man of Constant Sorrow” to 9 states, beginning on September 29 through October 28. “Man of Constant Sorrow,” the story of the Stanley Brothers, is an evening of constant old time, bluegrass, and gospel favorites that has come to define the Appalachian region.

The first two shows will be at the Carter Family Fold [2] at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30. Proceeds from these two shows will go to the Carter Fold.
