For years Slagle's Pasture brought bluegrass music to East Tennessee and the tradition continues.
The Sounds of Bluegrass will once again become part of Elizabethton’s Musical Heritage! For over thirty years Clayton and Dare Slagle brought top bluegrass musicians to East Tennessee during The Slagle’s Pasture Bluegrass Festival. This wonderful tradition has returned to Elizabethton!
The Watauga Historical Association is proud to continue the tradition of fine music and family memories that Clayton and Dare Slagle worked for throughout the years they sponsored this outstanding Festival.
Step back in time while visiting a display of memorabilia covering the original Festival, enjoy good food, and outstanding crafts. Bring an instrument and enjoy picking in the park…a great time to jam with other musicians. Bring your family and friends to welcome Slagle’s Pasture Bluegrass Festival back to Elizabethton!
