Our volunteer program prides itself on making the most of our volunteers’ time, knowledge, and interests.

Volunteer Details

Volunteers are needed to assist in the galleries on a daily basis, help in archives and collections, provide curatorial research assistance, support special events, assist in the Museum Store, and act as docents for guided tours.

Training is provided and consists of two 2-hour sessions that provide an introduction to the museum and the volunteer program.

Volunteer Training

We will be holding our next 2-session volunteer training in January 2017

The first volunteer session is an overview that allows you to discern your area of interest at the museum and learn more about volunteering opportunities. This session takes place on Tuesday, January 10 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The second follow-up session, focused on the details of volunteering at the museum, is scheduled for the following week, Tuesday, January 17 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

For more information on becoming a museum volunteer, contact the museum at 423-573-1927.
